In mid October 2010 I approached Sandra for advice about exercising and losing weight as I was by far the most unfit and overweight I had ever been. In early 2008 I had retired at age 49, at which time my fitness had already declined and I was overweight. Following my retirement my fitness deteriorated even further and much more weight piled on as my activity levels suddenly dropped and my food and drink consumption steadily increased.
Over a period of 30 years prior to my retirement, I had regularly taken part in and enjoyed organised group exercise sessions such as circuit training. However, knowing how much weight I had gained and fitness I had lost I was now too self-conscious to return to group circuit training or to even train in a communal gym.
Sandra’s private gym and one to one personal training instruction provided an ideal way for me to get back into the way of training again in a discreet, friendly and supportive environment. I was extremely impressed with Sandra’s advice on appropriate exercises and even more impressed with her ability to identify where my techniques were incorrectly carried out and fine tune the techniques for maximum benefit. In simple terms there were exercises I have been performing incorrectly for many years that felt immediately more concentrated and beneficial once Sandra had altered my technique.
Sandra also took the time to provide excellent and detailed information and advice on diet and healthy eating, which she has helped me with on an ongoing basis. By the application of Sandra’s advice and by my own self-motivation I have been able to get my weight back down to a healthy level that I last experienced when I was in my early thirties. Suffice to say as a result of Sandra’s first-rate instruction, advice and help, I now feel fitter and healthier than I have felt in a very, very long time.

20 March 2012 – Update
A year has passed since I completed my training with Sandra and lost 4st 1lb, and I’m pleased to say I’m still feeling fit and healthy. Over the course of the entire year I’ve stayed within a few pounds either side of the target weight that I reached at the conclusion of my training and I was initially surprised at how easy I’ve found it to do so.
This has been a fantastic result for me, as prior to being trained by Sandra I couldn’t maintain even small weight losses. I still love my food and drink, but I now have a far better understanding of how to balance things out in a healthy and sustainable way.
Although technically I’ve maintained my considerable weight loss on my own for the past 12 months, I am in no doubt whatsoever that my ongoing success is a direct result of the knowledge I gained from the first class guidance and training that Sandra gave me about exercise and healthy eating.
